I passed through the Steven P. Clark Center on Tuesday morning and ran into the early voting brigade set up there. The staff seemed to be familiar with the process and the equipment and the system worked fine, but it took a long time and involved a lot of moving paper around, signing, marking and envelopes. I'm worried 1) that the ballots won't be completely filled out on election day - the back side is easy to miss. and 2) that it will take so long that people give up and walk away. The process does seem tamper-proof enough though.

Of course I'm especially interested in The Children's Trust and their re-authorization ballot issue, so I just became worried when the item appeared on the BACK of the ballot, where many will miss it.

If you're in Miami, please:

1) Vote early and encourage your friends to vote early. Don't wait until Tuesday Aug. 26 or you will find LONG lines of people figuring out the new equipment.

2) Remember that the BACK of the ballot contains issue #385 which is for re-authorizing The Children's Trust.
